23 Sigma farmers complete training

       SIGMA, Capiz – Twenty-three farmers from Barangay Amaga, Sigma, Capiz, Philippines have recently completed their  Season-long Training of Farmers on Integrated Pest Management and Social Mobilization in support of the Rice Clustering Program of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

        In a message during their graduation ceremony on Sept. 16,  Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco said the training would hopefully give farmers with  needed techniques  and skills on farming to make them more productive in their yield and  thus, boost their income.

         The governor thanked the agricultural workers who facilitated the training, which was held every Friday of the week and lasted for four months.

        The training was conducted by the regional office of the Department of Agriculture with the assistance of the provincial and municipal agricultural offices.  Larry Nacionales of the DA regional office came to grace the graduation ceremony.
