Either arson (intentional burning) or faulty electrical wiring is being eyed as the possible motive. The bank is reportedly using power on a 24-hour basis.
City Fire Marshall Pancho de la Cruz said they could not as yet say the exact cause of the fire as investigation was still ongoing.
Firefighters who responded to the scene found it hard to “penetrate the establishment as it was “totally closed.” They finally gained entrance by breaking parts of the bank’s entrance door.
Firemen discovered that, except for the vault, all the properties inside the bank such as bank documents and appliances, were totally burned down.
Two months ago, the bank’s manager was reportedly “terminated” due to office lapses, it was learned.
