CAPTESA Day 2009 – TVET Week Celebrated

Capiz TESDA School Association, Inc. (CAPTESA) through the leadership of Dr. Expedito A. Señeres, CAPTESA President together with TESDA-Capiz Provincial Office headed PD Victor Gallego, successfully celebrated the CAPTESA Day and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Week/Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) 15th Year Anniversary Celebration last August 20, 2009 at Capiz Gym, Villareal Stadium, Roxas City withe the Theme: “Alay ng TESDA – Kagalingan, Kaalaman, Kasanayan Para sa Magandang Kinabukasan.”

The guest speaker during the Opening Program is Mr. Ricardo P. Monegro, Capiz Provincial Director of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Mr. Monegro share important tips on how to prepare for employment and ways on finding jobs through advertise job market and hidden job market.

Part of the program was a recognition given to the two (2) important officers of CAPTESA who is about to retire this school year: Dr. Zenaida Fajardo, CAPTESA Vice President/DVTS School Administrator and Mrs. Milagros Lajo, CAPTESA Treasurer/St. Anthony College-Roxas.

Fun Games, Parlor Games and Cultural Presentation of different CAPTESA member schools followed after the opening program.  The most exciting part of the fellowship was the dance showdown between students.

This years CAPTESA Day celebration was participated by the following CAPTESA Member Schools: Filamer Christian College, Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion, Capiz State University, Hercor College, Dean Alberto Villaruz College (DAV-C), Lifegoal, Lifeline, Master’s Hand, TechnoGlobe, PACE Computer College, St. Anthony College-Roxas, Dumalag Vocational and Technical School (DVTS), Capiz Institute of Electronics and AMA-CLC.

CAPTESA, Inc. through TESDA’s support and programs aims to provide quality and relevant competency based training to the Capisnons in order for them become more globally skilled and competent worker in different qualifications.

Just recently, almost 5000+ Capisnons availed the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship Program of TESDA and be able to get certified in the different qualification recognized by TESDA.
