Capiztahan 2011 highlights the celebration of the 110th anniversary foundation of Capiz on April 15-17, 2011. It will showcase the province of Capiz rich cultural and economic heritage featuring wreath-laying ceremony, national cockfighting derby, trade and horticultural fair, job fair, musical extravaganzas, and many other colorful activities.
The grand event will promote the province of Capiz and City of Roxas as premier tourist and seafood destinations in the country. One of the highlights of this year’s Capiztahan 2011 is the “Electric Parade” which will feature giant images of sea creatures. The parade will start from the Roxas City Public Plaza and ends at People’s Park at Baybay. About 27 floats coming from the public and private sectors will join the parade.
Capiztahan 2011 will be expected to host local and foreign tourists to witness this cultural and economic extravaganza organized by the United Capiceños Foundation Inc. known publicly as “One Capiz”. There are lots of Roxas City hotels and inns that can accommodate tourists and guests during the Capiztahan 2011 celebrations.
