Dagoon, who succeeds outgoing Roxas City police director Supt. Kashmir Disomangcop, said in his message during the ceremony that the campaign against illegal drugs and other forms of lawlessness will be a priority of RCPS under his watch.
“I am asking the support of the people of Roxas City, city government and the private sector to work together so that peace and order and justice will prevail upon us,” he said.
For his part, Disomangcop thanked Roxas City mayor Angel Alan Celino, policemen of the RCPS and the residents for the support during his incumbency as the city’s top cop which ushered RCPS to get the best police station in the component cities category for 2010.
It was also during the term of Disomangcop when the 22-member Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was created by the Roxas City government.
Coincidentally, then C/Insp. Dagoon from the Police Regional Office (PRO) – 6’s Regional Tactical Operation Center was among the instructors of the 45-day training of RCPS’s SWAT team.
The turnover ceremony was graced by PRO – 6 director C/Supt. Cipriano E. Querol, Jr. and Capiz Police director S/Supt. Domingo Cabillan, and some city government officials led by Celino, among others. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz).
